Sculpture Semester 2
Art students will continue developing their style and understand the different strategies for creating an original work of art. Students will understand and apply the Principles of Design while creating a work of art that demonstrates Repetition, Movement, Rhythm, Harmony, Contrast, Unity, Balance and Emphasis. We will write Analytical Rubrics and answer each standard as a formative assessment. Students will explore casting with oil clay and plaster and the commercial and industrial design applications, 3D Printing, ceramics, Oil, tempera, oil and acrylics , wood working metals and weaving.
Guided Discussions will include: Why do we create art? What is creativity? and the Fibonacci sequence.
